The Body Shop pick ups

I have a Body Shop rewards card, they are pretty handy even if you only pop in once in a while, you get a £5 welcome gift, a £5 birthday gift and 10% off every purchase, if you spend over £10 per visit which I find easy enough to manage :D you also get a 'stamp' and after 4 stamps you get another £5 free gift, if you manage to make 8 purchases in 12 months you get an additional £10!! gift.
The card is £5 to sign up but for up to £25 in freebies and 10% everything including the sales items it really is worth it, you get to pick which gifts you have, I went for a banana shampoo because I love the stuff.
I swim, some weeks quite a lot and this stuff is amazing for dry, brittle hair, you don't need a lot to condition but twice as much as normal and 5 minutes and you have the perfect hair mask, I don't eat bananas, I don't like the taste but the smell of this stuff if enough to make your mouth water.
The shampoo is cleansing without stripping your hair and leaving it dried out.
Banana Shampoo
Banana Conditioner

Then we added a Hemp soap on a rope, my husband loves this stuff, it smells great without being too strong and leaves his skin really soft, Hemp has a lot of good qualities and isn't just a novelty soap, definitely one to add to the Christmas boxes.
And last....whilst walking around the shop I showed my husband the new Smoky Poppy range, needless to say he loved it, he really likes the original opium perfume and this had a very similar scent, a little peppery but without the bitterness, perfect for a romantic night out or in.

Floozie by French Frost

Todays post features handbags! I'm new to the world of handbags, until I was 22 I never carried a handbag around with me and before I was nineteen i'd never carried anything except a baby changing bag, in the last four years I've grown into quite the collector of handbags especially Floozie bags.

I have six bags and one purse in my collection which might not sound like much but for me it's a lot to go from none to six.

My first Floozie was the black polka on the left, I nipped into Debenhams for a new pair of shoes from their KG section (which is a whole other blog post) and I saw it across the room.
I'd never heard of Floozie but then I've never been one to keep up with labels so it didn't matter and for around £25 I just had to have it.

Since I used the bag 95% of the week for nearly 12 months eventually it started to show signs of wear so it's now stored away for best when I need a little black bag and I've replaced it with these other two, equally cute and just as durable.

The cream shoulder bag on the left was my second bag that I picked up during one of their sales, I had gotten a brand new cream coat for Christmas and I needed something to colour coordinate with it and this was perfect and it's slightly larger size mean I'm not left carrying a stack of books on library day as well as a bag :)

The little pink bag in the middle is so cute! I got some vouchers and went in to buy a new purse since my old one died and just after I found the perfect purse I saw this bag and knew I had to have it, it's like a compulsion to buy these bags. The navy daisy bag is my latest purchase but I'm sure it won't be my last, it's bigger and roomy but it's also summery, I have a flared, navy trench kind of coat and it's a perfect match.

All the Floozie bags come in a bag for your bag, Once my bags are stored away like my first black bag I put the bag in this to store them away. The hand bags are all roomy inside despite the small looking size and each one has a zip pocket and a phone holder pocket, they have all come with an extendable shoulder strap which can be easily removed and all except the new daisy have come with a cute mixed up key ring with various little charms and details which just make the bag so much more.

The bags range in the price from about £30-£45 but Debenhams often have sales on and I've picked up some bags for a little over £20, they are worth every penny and I get a lot of compliments on my bags when I'm out. Don't be afraid to try a name you've not heard before and don't be afraid to mix things up a little, a querky little bag can make all the difference to an outfit.

We love I love...

Occasionally when my husband offers to drive us we pop into home bargains and find lots of bargains, we saw lots of mothers day stock which is ideal for next year from the little ones but best of all we found a selection of I love... which has to be in my top 5 shower gels, since we still swim once to twice a week we use up a lot of shower gels but I've found when ever we take a I love... product we get lots of sniffy noses near us and questions on what scented gels we're using.

I've has Tangerine dream and Juicy watermelon before and loved them but the other two are totally new to me and Choca Mocha Lala smells absolutely amazing, it may just be my new favourite.
I'm not sure the going rate for I love... shower gels but these were 89p each and I'm definitely going to pester the other half into taking me more often in case they have any more in.
Let me know what steals you find in your local HB :)

Birch Box March

Normally i'd wait for my GB to come and post about them both but GB seem to be getting slower and slower at sending boxes so i'm not going to wait around anymore.

A note book and a short story or part of a story were the first things I found, which were hardly exciting, I miss the free chocolates and sweets, BB seem to be adding more and more paper to every box.

I receieved a large bag of bath salts.....*rolls eyes* yay! I have yet to meet anyone that buys bath salts, normally they are given as gifts or used up for the sake of it, sadly these came in a cheap plastic bag so I can't give them as gifts.
I was pleased to be able to pick my mascara this month, at least if I'm going to get yet another one I might as well be able to pick my favourite and this is one I haven't tried so it was helpful.
I also got a 2ml perfume sample....another yay! It's not my kind of scent and I've never heard of the company but I certainly won't be buying a large version.

Janjira isn't something I've heard of and the lack of info on the tube made me reluctant to try it but I did and after 3 days I can honestly say....it's done nothing so far, I continue for the week but I really can't see any changes.

Last was ANOTHER Pk product, now I love PK and I spend a lot of money with them but! I don't want one in every single box, I purchase the boxes to try new things and after 2-3 products by one company I've decided if I want to continue trying there products so lets me on BB, please.

January Wins/Freebies

I don't normally brag about my goodies but a lot of people that don't enter competitions or apply for freebies often ask why I bother and if I ever actually win so I decided making a blog post on it so people can see would be helpful to get people in a more positive state of mind when it comes to winning!

Everything that you see in the photos was 100% free, I do not pay postage costs and the only time money has come into it is the fuel to go and spend voucher however even these are only used when I'm already on my way to that direction so they still don't actually add to my costs.

Some of my items are winnings from entering competitions which many on my social media see me enter, others are from vouchers and links on freebie listing sites/newspapers and websites that are giving away an item to everyone and some are trial products that big named company's send out for promotion and reviews, either way all of what you see you could win too.

I don't try to push my 'comping' onto anyone and I always tell people how to unfollow my shares but when they are interested I do tell them about the luck I've had and what beauties I've got because of what I do so here's what I won in January.....

As you can see it's a good mix between clothes, make up and toiletries, nothing will go to waste and if there is anything I won't use I simply save it until Christmas to go to one of my friends who will use it, I don't sell prizes and if it's something I really can't find a use for I give it away.

In the image the clothing you see is:
3x Lindy bop dresses rrp: £29.99ea
1x George coat rrp: £32
Tesco zip detail skinny jeans rrp: £18

The other items include a £70 Phillip Kingsley hamper, Gillette razor, L'occitane hand creams, Original source shower gel, chilli oil, cat food sample, Essence make up bag, His and Hers Jimmy Choo perfumes and Bath melts.

I also got vouchers for Tesco to try there own brand products, each voucher was for the full amount of the product not an amount off or extra points like normal vouchers.

What you don't see in the photo is also the £10 paypal funds, £5 amazon gift card and £5 morrisons voucher.

All in all this is £270+ of prizes and all it cost me was time :)

So to answer the most asked question.....
Yes! real people do actually win.

Ozeri 4x3motion Digital Pocket 3D Pedometer

This week I reviewed a Pedometer that offered so much more, it was quick and easy to set up and within minutes I was walking around with this on in full use.

It offers recording your steps and distance walked as well as the speed and amount of calories worked off and time taken.

It's lightweight and compact and easy to carry around in your pocket or around your wrist, it comes with full instructions on how to set it up and use it and unlike some other electronic devices for monitoring these kinds of things it's actually really affordable.

Perfect for the new year health kick and a great way to track your progress.

Shoplet review - Lever Arch File and Medium Storage Box

Excuse the slightly blurry photo, please see the links for a decent one :)
So Shoplet send me a box of goodies which included this, it looks like a normal folder and it certainly does what it says on the packet but this folder is super strong, super sturdy and holds pretty much anything to can make 2 holes on, I've used folders like this in the past but found the folder moves and causes the paper to get crumpled up at the bottom but this one doesn't, it's so strong.

The inside is the strong metal kind instead of the usual cheap plastic you see for sale in superstores, it's easy to use with a simple lever system and a strong clip to hold pages in place but it's also not too strong that it snaps together and you risk a finger in the process.

Find yours here:

The good folks at Shoplet also sent over this little beauty, don't let it's flat pack style mislead you to thinking it can't be sturdy because I've been in and out of this box so many times over the last 2 weeks and it hasn't once shown any signs of coming undone.

It's a simple click together process and once it's up it isn't coming down again without some force :)
It's a lovely vibrant colour and a handle size to store almost anything from crafts and cards to important papers or even trinkets.

We have so much family that I opted to use mine for our Christmas cards, I find often over the coming weeks they get moved, lost and sometimes crumpled so this is perfect, once the cards are gone i'll keep all our paper craft stuff in to keep it need and safe, the lid is really strong so I have no qualms about storing things on top of it or under it.

Find them here: Pink Storage box
