Irregular Choice - Karp Koi

This are my 'freaky fish' shoes aptly named by monster, they are one of my more outrageous pairs and call for a certain outfit and event to wear them, i'm not sure i'll be rocking up to the school run in them but not because they aren't pretty or because I care for people reactions but because of how damn hard they are to walk it!

I don't normally struggle in heels but I did with these, they are so flat and chunky but unlike a wedge they're still high in the heel and the toe is curved, it's hard to explain but they're going to take to working on, they are loud and brash and everything I expect from IC but as an older style i'm late to the game with them, they were limited so I doubt i'll see many others wearing them but that makes them so much more special

I plan on wearing these indoors lots to get use to them but they will become a firm wear for any upcoming parties

Andrew Barton Hair Care

I was recently sent a few of the Andrew Barton range to try out and review, I have to say I haven't changed hair care products for a few months, with having coloured hair I really need a good review on a product to risk it on my hair but I was willing to try the Protect my colour range

Firstly I tried the Protect my colour range which included the shampoo, conditioner and heat protection spray, all of them smelled lovely, the conditioner was a lovely creamy texture, the shampoo gave a good lather and although it did pull colour from my hair it wasn't a great deal compared to a standard shampoo, the heat protection spray did exactly that, as a lady with short hair that doesn't tie up but is very thick I have to dry and straighten it a few times a week and I worry about damage but this left my hair silky and soft without the product build up and greasy feeling I often get with my current one.

The other two products were a texture spray and a hair oil, I have super thick hair so a texture spray was the last thing i'd think to use but the XXL texture spray is amazing, it's like a soft hold hairspray without the white flakes, without the stiffness but still controlling the fly aways and not keeping it slick and stuck to my head like a gel, it gave me a slight wave which looked natural and it's become a staple in my hair routine.

the hair oil is my new best friend, I swim twice a week and that much swimming is taking away all the natural oils from my hair so this has been a hair saver, it's a lightweight oil that isn't greasy or heavy but give a natural shine and puts some moisture back into my hair.

All in all I love the range, there hasn't been anything I didn't like and I will be adding these to my shopping list from now on, the range is for sale in Asda and is reasonably priced so it's worth a try if you need some new hair care in your life.

Bath Bomb Wednesday - Vanilla Trifle

I was so excited by this bomb, it was creamy and sweet and smelled like it would be heaven, I watnt to say it was but I was left a little disappointed, I dropped in some 5 gold rings from Lush to give the bath some glitter and bubbles but when I dropped the bomb in I got very little

The red and sprinkles disappeared and I never saw anything from them again and the bomb lost all it's scent when I dropped it in, it left my skin soft and smooth and the oils in this were lovely but there was no scent on my skin so this isn't one i'll repurchase, these come ready wrapped and have a long sell by but I've not had it long and hadn't damaged the packaging so i'm guessing it's just a scent that doesn't last once the bomb has dissolved.

Irregular Choice - Can't Touch This

When I first saw these I instantly fell in love, most shoes I really like and often if I miss out i'll move onto another pair soon enough but then these came up for sale (second hand due to being such an old style) I couldn't get them out of my mind, they are just the right amount of pink/peach and lime green to stand out with any outfit

They clear heel is a statement in itself, often they become a talking point and the colours are vibrant and speak volumes but mostly it's the tiny peeping pandas that called to me, you look past them at first almost having to second glance to see them but when you do they bring a smile every time

This has become a new need for me and I've since purchase another pair in a different colour way of the Can't touch this style, i'm enjoying finding new colours I hadn't already seen and getting lots of wear from them.

Irregular Choice - Odette and Savan

Welcome to the world of swans, a brand new concept heel from Irregular Choice and I for one am in love

I decided as I only have one other pair of black concept heels that the Black Odette were a must however when they arrived they blew my mind! they're a oil slick shine which is just amazing with a black glitter and black lace tassel fringe, honestly it sounds like too much but when it's put together it's just perfect.

Then I needed some pink shoes, don't we all? I'm not a pink person but sometimes an outfit just calls for something pink and i'm so glad I chose these ones, they have multicolours sequins in amongst the pink which just break up the single colour, the swans are a furry to touch which worries me because any scuffs or dirt may show up but i'm going to add a coat of hairspray over the top to stop any dirt being able to stick to them.

There were eight swan heels to choose from and whilst they were all beautiful in their own way these two were my favourites and i'll certainly wear them plenty, the new sole is just amazing, i'm naming them boobie lobsters because....well I don't think I need to explain but the crabs and fish just add to the great artwork, it's lovely to see patterned soles back after the spots of last season.

I hope you've enjoyed reading, I'll be back to my Tuesday Shoesday posts from this week fingers crossed x

Bath Bomb Wednesday - The Experimenter

Lush bath bombs, they don't come in a sealed wrapper and are better used ASAP because too much time in the air can leave them crumbly, I wrap all of mine in clingfilm because of my bulk buying habits but i'm not sure it worked with this one.

There was a lot of bleeding of colours but I imagine that'd happen over time with most, I have to say compared to other peoples photos this was such a let down, I'm not sure if mine was just a bad one or if this is what happens if you leave it a few weeks from purchase but all my others have been fine after time.

I barely got a fizz from this, the colours just weren't there and there wasn't much scent at all, I love lush, i'm not at all bashing them but if I repurchased this I think i'd use it within a couple of days to compare the results otherwise I wouldn't bother with this one again.

Bath Bomb Wednesday - Holly Go Lightly

I'm nearly through my bomb cosmetic bath bombs, I've loved using them up but i'm glad to see the end is near as for the Christmas range, this year I think i'll cut back on how much of the range i'll buy now I know which I like and which I wouldn't repurchase.

This one shares a name with a Lush Bubblebar 'Holly go lightly'
It was lacking any real fragrance and didn't give my bath any colour, the gold pieces are 5 gold rings by Lush which I used for the bubbles

The glitter wasn't dissolvable which i'd of preferred but the bomb was much frothier than I expected, almost like a bath creamer than a bomb, it was full of oils and creaminess and I judged it way to early because the outcome was so much more than I expected.
It gave me everything I wanted from a creamer, no colour, very little scent but all the goodness, along size a vibrant bomb this would be perfect so i'll repurchase this as a creamer in future.

Irregular Choice - Tea cups

I didn't own many red shoes until this week, suddenly I've gained 3 pairs, the first of which were these beautiful, bold tea cups, anything with faux fur, pom poms and laces are perfect in my eyes.
As with many of Irregular choice styles, the lining is a soft velvet feel which makes them all the more comfortable and the outside is so soft I could stroke it for hours they are close fitting so the laces don't need to be tight and although there isn't a hidden platform the shape are relatively easy to walk in.

I have a black pair on the way with damaged pom poms so i'll be customising them in the near future and sharing my progress.

Irregular Choice - Bubba and I Love Mark

These are two pairs of preloved shoes I've picked up recently and I love both of them, First I got Bubba which are a perspex heel with little mushrooms, beads and charms on, they are comfy and fit well but it's the charm of them that I love the most, they are just so pretty.

The I Love Marks are fitting since my husband is a Mark, the cute cherry design and flower pattern had me searching high and low for them so I snapped them up as soon as a pair came up for sale, they have a thinner heel but are  similar design to the Dressed to Kill which I also have but they have a much more summery feel.

I've been really lucky to find some great preloved styles that i'll be sharing in the coming weeks.

Bath bomb Wednesday - Holly Dolly

My bomb of choice this week was another Christmas one from Bomb cosmetics, I have to say I was totally disappointed with this one, it slowly frothed but took forever to get through, it didn't leave an oils on my skin and it barely had a scent so overall I was left unimpressed.

It was really pretty and the glitter floated on the top of the water but it just wasn't exciting enough and there was no fizz, I got as many of the Christmas bombs as I could afford so I could try them all this year and know which ones to avoid next Christmas so it's not a complete loss, just lesson learnt.

This was after about 3 minutes and there was still just under half of the bomb left, my water was cooling too quickly so I just broke it up myself once I got in.

Irregular choice - Heatherette samples

Todays shoe of choice is a sample pair from the Heatherette range that ran in very limited colours/sizes, I managed to get these from eBay and in a size smaller than I usually take but it was worth the risk, they fit and because of the large are wedge quite comfy.

They came strung up in 2 laces each with plastic stars on the end but I found it made the shoes look too busy so I've toned them down to show off the style better, the heel is a type of rubber and scuffs easily but as it's rubber it's easy to scrub clean.

I love that they can be interchanged with the mixed laces and they are sporty looking for easily go with jeans and shorts, i'm hoping to get a lot of wear from them when the sun comes out more.

Bath bomb Wednesday - Cooltide

Another Christmas one but this one was one of my favourites ever from Bomb Cosmetics,
It was a cool smell, like ice and mint and was a really nice change from spice.

The pudding way a hard but breakable type of bomb and the little gold balls were like those edible ones you get on cakes, the bomb was a slow fizzer but it was nearly gone by the time I got in the bath, it was just a white froth but it was absolutely full of little gold stars.

There must of been 200 or more little gold star in this bomb and my bath and skin were covered in them which was a lot of fun but I've been finding them for days since.

I'll be looking out for this bomb again this year and it's in my top 10 for stocking up on.

Irregular Choice - Marble Moose

Between you and me, i'm a sucker for a pair of big eyes, I fell hard for the Lashed trainers in A/W 15 and these were on my want list for quite some time so when a single pair popped up in my size, brand new in box I had to nab them

They are faux pony fur and it's hard not to sit stroking them randomly, between the big eyes and the shocking pink colour they are certainly a talking point and the gold just tops them off perfectly.
They are high but comfortable because of the front platform

I haven't a clue what I will pair them with when I get a chance to wear them but I don't doubt they are highly versatile.

Bath Bomb Wednesday - Oh Christmas Tree

Ok so I know Christmas is long gone but I bought so much during sales that i'm only just making my way through the bulk of it, this week I used a Oh Christmas Tree bomb, the yellow water in picture 1 I from a half crumbled Lush 5 gold rings

Firstly there was a little star on the bomb but it fell off as I unwrapped the bomb, this was a cinnamon and grapefruit scent but it wasn't strong of either, that could be down to age but I don't find Bomb cosmetics heavy on scent in any of their bombs.

It was a quick use, as you can see it didn't give off lots of froth but inside was a heap of glitter and it left the water really sparkly, there was no scent by the end of my bath but I did have lovely green water

I love Bomb Cosmetics bombs as fillers because I can't afford 2/3 bombs per week from Lush and they are great as gifts and for children so I've got a small mountain of them to get through.

Irregular choice - Coral reef

Summer is coming! I promise it's around here somewhere, in the meantime we have all the summer colours to look forward to, I opted for every colour possible with these which means they'll go with so much more in my wardrobe :)
These are high, I won't pretend otherwise but as they are a wedge they are fairly comfy and steady to walk in.

These make me smile to look at them because they are so pretty the only downside is the inner sole, it's a gorgeous, sparkly gold stitching but it's scratchy so i'm debating on unpicking it
They don't come with a cool sole design but i'm ok with that, I have a big love for wedges and the sole is less important the more shoes I hoard.

These will play a big part of my summer staple wardrobe and i'm sure you'll see lots of instagram snaps of them soon, i'm working my way through lots of new shoes and will try to feature at least one pair per week but as character heels are released I'll be videoing them and linking them to my posts so keep a look out.

Bath Bomb Wednesday - 5 gold rings and Cinders

Yes, it's now a thing :)
Every week I use up a new bath bomb and every week I take pictures but they just sit on my phone and no one sees the pretty patterns or hears about how amazing the ingredients were so I've done a block of scheduled bath posts for every Wednesday so keep an eye out for them.
This week i'm kicking things off with 5 gold rings and Cinders

I got hold of both of these during the Christmas sale and i'm finally getting through the stash, 5 gold rings is just that, 5 bubble bar rings on a string, bubble bars can be crumbled under running water, held under water to dissolve or broken up and scattered in the bath and stirred up, I break mine down into crumb and keep them in a jar to scoop into the bath but it's all down to preference.
Cinders is a bath bomb full in cinnamon leaf, sweet orange and almond oil, there is also a little surprise in store for those who don't read the description

I found the gold rings gave a gorgeous glittery froth to the water, it wasn't over kill with bubbles which is how I prefer it and it left my skin coated in oils and goodness before i'd even put the bomb in.

Cinders.....This was the first bomb i'd used and decided not to buy again which is rare for me, it was totally my own fault that I didn't enjoy it and that all comes down to me not reading the label, it contains popping candy and when that pops in places you weren't expecting it's a shock!

It wasn't any amount of colour and I didn't find the cinnamon over powering as I do with other things scented with it but it was a small bomb, the popping candy wasn't really me and I've got others on my list i'd rather buy in future, however others love it and i'm sure kids would find the candy pretty fun.

Irregular choice Mal e Bow and Pin Yin purchases

Previous photos show I have a steady obsession with Mal e Bows, they for me match any outfit, they are simple but pretty and add a lovely angle to any set of legs, they are the perfect dinner shoe, of course I adore the crazy, loud, proud styles that have and are currently being released but they are my staple every day shoes, I've been after those that seem to sell out quickly and I end up missing out on and I found a pair all the way in china, we often associate China with knock off, cheaply made plastic items that ship for pennies however many of our long standing, more expensive everyday items are made in the same place and not everything is a fake, it's always good to be cautious and I check out suppliers i'm not sure about with IC themselves quite often to be sure.

I'm not sure if these were a UK release, they were an old style before I started collecting them but since finding this colour way I've only ever found them in the US and China, they are a silky emerald and very beautiful in real life, they aren't a colour I have in my collection in any shoes except for the Aaliah recently released but I love them.

Who doesn't love pandas, cute little black and white bears that are cuddly an sweet, how about on a shoe for people too adore! Pin Yin are my first pandas, I have squeezy but I opted for the gold bear style rather than the black and white, I first wanted the blue version of Pin Yin and they hadn't come up for sale but I chanced sharing a photo and the same company that had my elusive Mal e Bows also had these in my size, ready to ship

My heart could of burst when I opened the box, I expect to really not like the mash of black, white and yellow but it really works because of how it clashes, I've worn my Flopsy bunny heels on every weekly shop since I bought them but I may now have a new shopping shoe to enjoy showing off

More Easter Lush

Recently i posted here: Lush Easter Haul about my latest haul from Lush, a few days later my mum surprised me with a new lush item instead of an egg, I'm not complaining, I'm on a diet and could do without the temptation.
My brother also go my daughter her own bath bomb, although hers was aside some chocolate so she was really happy.

Mine was a Flowering tea reusable bubble bar, for those that haven't used a bubble bar before it's like a solid bubble bath that you can run under the tap, swish around the bath or crumble into running  water, this is one of the more intricate designs, as you dip the teabag by the string and the bubble bar melts it releases blue cornflowers, it is very pretty and a lovely scent so i'm looking forward to using it soon.

Monsters bath bomb was a Ickle Baby Bot which is scented with lavender and camomile, perfect for a night time bath after the Easter holidays on the wind down to school, they are super inexpensive and if it helps then I'll be stocking up

I had to find a bigger jar for my comforter bubble bar, it was simply too big so I took the chance to arrange all of the ones I have on the go currently L-R: Unicorn horn, Comforter, Milky bath, Candy mountain and 5 gold rings, it is much easier to use them like this and they smell lovely in the bathroom.

Shoe Scam Sites

We all hate to be caught out by scammers, be it online or offline, cloning cards and emptying bank accounts has became an ongoing issue that we've had to protect ourselves from since bank accounts came about online now online shopping is so much bigger it's so much more common to be easily led and caught out

Irregular choice along with many other shoe brands are not known for their cheap shoes, quality overrules cheap prices but we all love a bargain, more often than that just finding the shoes we want is a result so when you find the shoes you want AND they're at a bargain price it's all to easy to be led into giving over your card details and getting yourself a much sought after pair of shoes, however so often the saying 'too good to be true' is needed

So to keep you safe online I've included some websites both currently live and previously known as fake sites, feel free to let me know if you come across any others or even have been scammed yourself

Live at the time of posting:

The list above is of sites all currently live, offering shoes and either not sending any shoes at all but gaining your money and details OR sending very cheap none IC shoes, the list below is of sites that have previously been used to do the same but are either now inactive or currently blocked by my service provider so I can't see them

**www.Alibaba.com** this site is NOT a scam site, they do sell items and they do ship goods out, however....they also sell a lot of replica/copy items, I've not seen a legitimate Irregular Choice seller advertise on there but I have seen a lot of copies of Irregular Choice shoes, I don't find with added fees, shipping ect the site to be any cheaper than buying from the UK and I cannot comment on the quality but personally I wouldn't risk it, if the shoes arrived damages or faulty there is little you can do unless you ship them back and then it becomes an even more expensive lesson.

The first thing to look for when trying to see if a website is real is check it's relevance, 'themudshead' has nothing to do with shoes or selling them in the title.
Then check for store details, any real site will provide a business address, even if they don't have a shop they need somewhere to receive returns and register their business.
Lastly, if they don't take paypal think it over! paypal is the quickest, safest way to pay, of course not everyone will take paypal but if they don't have a shop to take telephone orders and don't tick any box from above then please, please give IC a call at their head office and get the business verified before you hit order, you're bargain may end up costing more than it's worth if you don't.

I hope some of the above helps, I've seen an increase in people being caught out and if I can stop it happening to one person than my post has been worth it.

Irregular Choice - Georgia Rose and Sirius

This week the shoes came in twos and they are so beautiful, I've opted to post them together because as shoe shape goes they are quite similar but so different in colour and fitting

Georgia Rose are the older style, they are a bright, sunny bootie, bows and shimmery material means they stand out with any outfit and the beautiful flowers really do give them a bold look, the blue is so easy to match to outfits in most colours and they are just such a pretty shoe to add to the collection

The Sirius boots are just the prettiest things, it's hard to capture their beauty but they have a gold shimmer over the top of the pink which when caught in the light look so sparkly, the blue is laced with a gold trim over the top and the ribbon just set the boot off, they answer the need for boots this season and I can't wait for a bit of sunshine to

The Georgia Rose are a close fit, not tight but compact around the foot but the Sirius are a looser open top fit so they have a little movement in them for socks or insoles.

Lush Easter Haul

It's not often I go into Lush stores and I begrude paying the postage online which is the cost of another bomb but I  made an effort after missing out on some great Kitchen items over the last few weeks, I've been meaning to try some new bombs because after a while the Christmas stock i'm using up can get a little same-y

The bombs are Blackberry (blue) Twilight (pink) and yoga (Orange) along with golden egg and 3 pots and a solid sample of shampoos, I also picked up two bubble bars which are Milky and Comforter and the tiny orange and pink thing is a bath oil which are new to me

Bubble bars work best when swished around in the water and i'd normally hold it until the tap but when they are large and the water gets super hot it isn't ideal so I decided breaking it up ready so I can sprinkle a handful into the bath is much easier, I haven't had chance to use any of the new items yet but i'll include photos of them in use at a later time
