Alice has entered the building!

On the 26th of February Alice in wonderland Irregular choice shoes were released, i'd waited for this day for a while and I was super lucky to be in the first few of the queue outside the store, i'd gone looking for one or two pairs but in actual fact I fell for the whole collection so I bought most of it!

The flats were nothing to be sniffed at, each one had it's own quirk including glittered heels and little touches that made them not only cute but practical for every day wear

Up until recently ICs flats were often narrow on the toe and the backs were quite stiff which took a lot of wearing in but thankfully with Alice and the new S/S season they seem to of adjusted those problems and the fit is much better

Of course an Alice shaped heel was the only way to go with this range, I'd lusted after 'Tea with Alice' heels since I saw the photos and knew i'd love them even more when I saw them for real and I did, they are super sparkly, something which the camera doesn't pick up so much

A second pair of Alice heels quickly stole my heart, the 'Flowers can't talk' were so pretty and detailed that I couldn't choose between the two and had to have them both, the embroidery on the sides of these shoes is something to admire for a long time to come

I finally got my hands on my first pair of heart shaped heels and they flash! it's like being little all over again, the knitted design is really soft and the pink is so vibrant, i'll be found stomping around in my room if anyone needs me

White rabbit is a big feature in the film but I didn't expect which such a big presence in the shoes, it's quite a high heel, the sequins are a wonderful touch to these shoes, there is lots of glitter involved but it gives a nice break between this and the heel, these also come in a pink colour way

Teapots, teapots, teapots, I dreamt about these shoes weeks before the release when i'd seen leaked photos and just could not get them out of my head, they are overly high, overly loud and totally me, so much time and effort has gone into making and designing these that i'm overwhelmed with joy every time I wear them

My last pair, my favourite pair, my ultimate IC pair....I'm late, I'm late
These works of art, pearl beauties were the only pair I HAD to have when I queued for 2 hours outside the store on release day, i'd seen a long distance, blurry photo and already loved them, the colours, the jewels, the little iridescent trim! everything is what I wanted and so much more

For the first time i'd noticed there are minor differences in heel height on the flats, barely worth mentioning but I know some ladies who wear IC near really flat shoes, even the inside that no one sees is covered in glitter, they are little beauties

Finally, the box, that little layer of cardboard that protects our shoes from the dust and damage the world has to throw at them, it's a double sided gift in itself, often a box is pretty but this is something else, no one took a shortcut when they made these boxes, they just add to the whole magical experience

I've included a heel comparison photo for those that may want Alice shoes but not have any already so you can tell what may or may not be a good heel height for you

Don't forget these are a limited edition so once they are sold out, that's it.

7 Days of Irregular choice #Day7

We've come to the end of our week of Irregular choice, you've seen photos of most of my collection (3 shoes are on their way since these posts were written) We've covered characters, glitter and old styles.
Now we'll look at the newest additions to my collection:
Octavius are a 2014 style with a glitter step heel and a bunny face with ears, they are my first flatter style and take some wearing on but are gorgeous with it.

Lady W is a 2012 heel with seashells and starfish, they are loud and pretty and me! The colour is so vivid and they really stand out which is why I love them.

Paloma Prop One of my favourite shoes, I've been in search of little houses in heels for so long and I finally found these beauties and i'm so glad I didn't risk a bidding war otherwise I wouldn't of know how magical they really are.

Look out in the coming weeks for Alice in wonderland IC x

7 days of Irregular Choice #Day6

This was day 7 but for some reason the posting option isn't working properly again so we'll double post to catch up :)

Character heels....probably the most memorable heel if you don't know who IC are, love them or hate them they are a big part of many collectors hearts.
To date I have 12 pair of Characters and I absolutely adore them, the quirk, the joy they bring and the reactions they bring.

Some styles I love enough to need various colour ways to match everything, Deers and Bunnies are a favourite of mine, some like Jingle (santas) I wouldn't get enough wear by having several but occasionally a style comes out that deserves to replace an older one.

Sometimes it's not just the shoe in various colours, Disco Bunnies (gold heel, sequin shoe) was my first love, i'd never wanted a shoe more until floral glitter deers came up for sale.

The next most exciting thing to be released will be Alice in Wonderland but that's for another post.

7 days of Irregular Choice #Day5

Princess shoes are the one thing every girl should have, I happen to have quite a few from the Nick of Time range and each and every one are as beautiful as the next, from the vibrant yellow to the sparkly gold. They come in most colours you could need to suit an outfit and the range is ever growing.

The shimmer from these shoes is truly beautiful, the sneaky little red number in the number as actually Ban Joes which are a the smaller heel version of Nick of Times, sadly I didn't nab a pair of red Nicks and now they are rarer than hens teeth.

Who doesn't want a pair of pretty Dorothy shoes, they are so pretty and have bows which make them all the more cute, they are a comfy heel size and the velvet style lining inside make them all the more luxurious.

7 Days of Irregular Choice #Day4

What good pair of shoes doesn't deserve a gorgeous bag to complete the look, Irregular choice do not fail to charm with these gorgeous styles.

The detailing is as good as it comes on the shoes and the large images really are show stopping, the bags are large but ideal if like me you carry everything including the sink, and the soft lining inside just adds a luxury feel.

The smaller lunchbox bags are the cutest bags I've seen, the gingerbread house being my favourite bag I own, it's soft all over and the detailing is amazing, I use this bag all the time even though it's no longer the festive season.

These bags are sought after and if you see one pop up don't hesitate, they don't stick around for long and haven't been rereleased so far.

7 Days of Irregular Choice #Day3

Excuse the double post but for some reason my post timer isn't playing fair.

Todays shoes are of a time gone by, everything photographed below is from before 2013 or before.
From Krystal star to Teacups my collection of 2011/2012 are quite dark, I don't have many black shoes and those I do are older styles but even in black they all carry a charm about them that an ordinary black shoe just doesn't.

Sometime these little beauties pop up for sale on bidding sites and can be snapped up but for the most part they are little sought after gems that are easier found on search engines.

IC are not known for their stiletto style heel and throughout 2012 they offered very unusual shapes and angles of heel, the Teacups and Krystal star carrying a high instep style heel,

7 Days of Irregular Choice #Day2

Me again :) I have more IC for you today, a whole bunch of trainers, no one can wear heels forever and I adore the ICED range that IC do, from the Lashed boots to the flat Petras, they all have a quirk like no other shoe and are really comfy to wear all day.

Irregular choice are loud, in your face, notice me kind of shoes but they also have hidden gems, for instance the Lashed come with a side pocket that actually works, the petra are slip ons that look like lace ups and the Bow ta Fly have a zip for ease.

The fabrics are colour intense! they have cute stitches on and i'll be adding to my collection as and when I can, they are my go to flats now instead of my plain trainers, fingers crossed my next pair will flash too.
The range is large but limited, you really must be quick because they sell out so fast in all colours.

7 Days of Irregular Choice #Day1

We all have that something that we love so much we want it in every way, be it a lipstick in every colour or a dress in every pattern, mine are Mal e Bows, courtesy of Irregular Choice these gorgeous, girly, often glittery shoes are most girls dream, they have bows, they have sparkles and they make you feel great wearing them.

Never one to turn away a reason to hoard I quickly found Mal e Bows to be my favourite from the Irregular choice mutiny range because they are a classic heel, my ideal go to style and height for almost any occasion and coming in most colours means I can match them to any outfit.
They really do make me feel like a lady when I wear them and while ever IC continue to make new styles of this shoe I will continue to buy them.

Over the next 7 days I will be posting different styles of Irregular choice shoes, mainly in bulk photos because otherwise we'd be hitting 60 single posts to cover each shoe *I own the fact I hoard*
If there is a style you're interested in or would like to see more photos off just let me know, even if I don't plan to blog about that one on it's own I'm always happy to take extra snaps.

New year New nails

January I spent it mostly eating up the last of the chocolates and biscuits, picking up Christmas tags and finally sorting out a mountain of old toys and ironing.
Now we are in February it's time to get back to real life and find that routine we all lost over Xmas and my birthday mid Jan so i'm a month behind everyone else.
So we'll kick this month off with getting rid of the festive colours and bringing back some bright colour to get us through the cold.
My order from Models Own came and I loved everything as soon as I opened it, the colours are so vibrant and shiny.
I took advantage of the £2.50 each offer before Christmas and grabbed the 6 from my top must have list, Left to right:
Colour Chrome - Red
Colour Chrome - Turquoise
Wonderland - Jack Frost
Beetlejuice - Indian ocean
Colour Chrome - Gold
Colour Chrome - Cerise
Sadly my Jack frost from the wonderland collection was broken like a silly delivery man had dropped it hard but the customer services were awesome!! they got another out to me super quick and it was perfect.

These colours are so rich and the chromes really are chrome so i'll be getting lots of use out of them all year round and i'll be keeping an eye out for the next sale to add to my collection.
